Dalibor and Daniela Vavra were born in former Czechoslovakia . Dalibor grew up in the city Uherske Hradiste in the South Moravia while Daniela was born in the city Ostrava in the Northern part of Moravia . They met in Montana on the ski trip, and got married in 1994. In the 1999 they moved to Nashville , Tennessee where Daniela attended the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing.
They began to learn ballroom dancing in March 2003 in the Arthur Murray Dance studio in Goodlettsville , Tennessee . After that studio went bankrupt two years later, they joined the American Ballroom Center , and began training with David Medeiros, and Shalene Archer Ermis.
Ever since the start of their amateur competitive career, they have been very successful, obtaining multiple top placements and scholarships. Here are some of their accomplishments:
